Kimberly Ann Hoffman

Over the weekend, Kim Hoffman and her dog were murdered on July 30, 2023, in her Little Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey apartment.

Kim was 49 when she passed away. She had two children, two sons whom she loved dearly. People recall Kim as a remarkable person with a heart of gold and an infectious smile. She worked as an admission director at a nursing home and was known for always lending a hand to people in need.

Around 5 am on Saturday, Kim called 911 to report that someone was breaking into her home. When police arrived, they found Kim and her dog shot to death. Horrifically, Kim with a gunshot wound to her face.

Kim's 52-year-old ex-husband was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound to the head but conscious. He was rushed to the hospital but passed away from his injuries.

So far, no motive behind the murder has been released.

Kim's family, friends, and children are devastated and say that the pain of losing Kim is immeasurable. We will remember Kim for her deep love for her children, her kind and compassionate nature, and her drive to help those in need.

I do not have enough information to make a proper video for Kim that would detail her relationship and allow us to identify the stages of domestic violence homicide she experienced. Still, I wanted to raise awareness about her story. If you are interested, I can follow the case and make an updated video when more information is released. Just drop a comment to let me know if you want me to do that.

Thank you for listening to Kim's story. If you find it in your heart, please light a candle for Kim or for anyone who has lost their life at the hands of domestic violence, and if you or anyone you know is experiencing DV, please, please reach out to a family or friend, a local or national resource, someone to let them know what is going on. Quietly make a safety plan; I'll link one in the comments or description and get to safety. You do not deserve that kind of life. I promise there are good people in the world who are waiting for you to reach out so they can help you.
