Femicide
Dictionary.com defines it as the killing of a woman or girl by a man on account of her gender. The national library of medicine says femicide refers to the extreme form of violence against someone of the female gender. It is often motivated by a desire to control or dominate women. There are around 16 countries in the world that have femicide as a legal criminal charge
